Well Wishes for Iraqi Youth
On the morning of Dr. Goodall's lecture, the Harvard Museum of Natural
History was host to almost 100 local Roots & Shoots youth members
who exhibited their service work at the museum. While waiting for Dr.
Goodall to arrive, the youth created messages of friendship and peace
that were later delivered to a youth coalition in Baghdad through the
Well Wishes and Blessings Project: wellwishesandblessings.com.
About Roots & Shoots
Roots & Shoots is the Jane Goodall Institute’s
environmental and humanitarian education program, supporting youth of
all ages in projects that benefit people, animals and the environment.
Members identify problems in their communities and beyond, and then
take action via projects ranging from beach cleanups to international
campaigns on behalf of endangered species. Since Dr. Jane Goodall
founded Roots & Shoots in 1991, the group has registered more than
8,000 groups in 96 countries.
