Anne Englehart, head of collections at the Schlesinger Library, describes how collections come to the library and the tools librarians use to organize those collections so they are useful to researchers and other patrons.
Question: Do you save everything once it arrives here or do you have to exercise some judgment?
Question: Your natural bias of course would be toward researching and gathering materials from more progressive women's groups. Are you also interested in materials from the other side like Concerned Women For America?
Question: What's the percentage of collections that you acquire through purchase or gift? Do you have collections that are given but the donor provides bequests so that you can process it? Do you require that?
Question: How is the value of a collection ascertained in terms of competition for acquisition?

Question: Do you have the names of most of the people in the photographs?
