Offering advice learned at “the school of hard knocks,” comedian and actor Will Ferrell gave the graduating seniors a surprising twist on the realities of the post-graduation “real world.” Adopting his hilarious persona of President Bush, Ferrell told the 2003 graduates “You can always remember what year you graduated, because 2002 is a palindrome.”

The 2003 Class Day, the annual pre-Commencement celebration honoring the senior class, featured opening remarks by Senior Class First Marshall Krishnan Subrahmanian, humorous Ivy Orations by seniors Courtney Bass and Holden Karnofsky, and the traditional and serious Harvard Orations by Melissa Inouye and Thomas Miller.
