Audience Question & Answer: Part Two
Question #6:
You talked a little bit about inspiration, about how you got here…. I was wondering about inspiration right now…how does that (source of inspiration) translate into process for you?
Question #7:
I saw
Salaam Bombay!
for the first time last night…It seems to me that chronologically, your films have become less and less grim…Thinking about the chronological order, it's an amazing spectrum of films that you've made…. Is that something that's consciously in your mind or is it something that slowly evolved? What's your comment? The second question just came to me when you were talking about All India Radio. There's this extended scene in
Salaam Bombay!
when Aneeta Kanwar is returning after being refused to take her daughter back, and there's this extended commentary on the radio about an ongoing cricket match. Was it a snapshot of common day-to-day Indian life or did you have something more you had in mind when you were filming?
Question #8:
Have you been approached to do a big Bollywood film and are you interested in doing things like that?
