Dr. Art Boland, the team physician for the Harvard Athletic Department since 1969 and team physician for the US Hockey Team introduces the panelists for the Training and Commitment panel session. The topics for discussion include both the effort needed to commit oneself to the Olympic process, as well as the effect such a huge commitment has on school life at Harvard. The panelists include, Cecile Tucker an undefeated rower on the Radcliffe crew and competitor at the Atlanta summer games; Bobby Hackett, a silver medal winning swimmer in the Montreal games; CJ Young, a member of the US men's Ice Hockey Team at the Albertsville games; Brenda Taylor, a 400 meter hurdle runner at Athens and the NCAA champion while at Harvard; Dan Weinstein, a speed skater who first participated at the Olympics in Nagano while still in high school; and Harry Parker, the heavyweight rowing coach at Harvard for the past four decades, whose accomplishments include 18 undefeated seasons and eight National Championship victories.
