• Professor Slaughter is the Faculty Director of the 2001 Harvard Colloquium on International Affairs.

• Now Former Provost Harvey Fineberg, introduces keynote speaker Dr. Castañeda.

• Harvey Fineberg who stepped down from the office of Provost in July, 2001 held the position since 1997. Fineberg, A.B. '67, M.D. '71--went on to earn an M.P.P. from the Kennedy School of Government in 1972 and, in 1980, a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. This was followed by tenure at the School of Public Health, its deanship in 1983, and finally the provost's office in 1997.
