Question 1: As you look at Harvard students, what
are you getting out of undergraduates? Is there a feeling of idealism? Is politics looked
as the only way to make the world better?
Question 2: There is a growing phenomenon, at least
in Greater Boston, of people who don’t vote in local elections.
Can you explain that?
Question 3: Do you think the women’s movement
that has taken place in the lives of women in the community, is related
to your question about the demise of the PTA and all of the other
organizations?
Question 4: What accounts for the difference between
the more recent immigrants and the earlier immigrants, in terms of
their seeking to keep separate identities and their seeking preferential
treatment for their groups politically and otherwise?
Question 5: What do you think the impact is on immigration
and all of the other things mentioned? For instance, the impact of
immigration on feminism, immigration on civic involvement…it
must have enormous impact due to the cultural differences.
Question 6: There are a lot of foreign students
at Harvard. What impact does this have on classroom discussions?
